“Photharam campus will focus on specialized courses such as aviation logistics, hotel management, etc. The first phase will invest in the main building, which is expected to accommodate 500 students in the first 3-5 years before expanding other buildings to accommodate the curriculum expansion. Each building will be divided into different faculties, the Aviation Training Institute (Siam Aviation Center: SAC) in Thammasen Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province, and the Kronos Sathorn Tower in Silom Subdistrict, Bang Rak District, Bangkok. Siam Technology College was established in the academic year 2549 on the main land area of 8 rai 3 ngan 67 square wah. It started offering bachelor’s degree programs in technology and business administration, which meet the needs of the current Thai business and industrial sectors. It focuses on providing continuous and equal education to meet the increasingly diverse needs of society and to connect the world of education with the world of work, in accordance with the intention of Dr. Narong Mongkolwanich, the founder who created the leadership standard in vocational education management, which has been continued until it can create graduates of Siam Technology College as innovative individuals for the true benefit of society.
In 2560, Siam Technology College established the Aviation Training Center (SAC) as an external learning center of Siam Technology College in Ratchaburi Province to expand educational opportunities and develop human resources in the western region and nearby areas. It focuses on providing knowledge services for teaching at the bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as vocational training in various fields, especially in the framework of the aviation industry and related businesses, using the 1,500-meter-long control tower and airport in the area as a training ground. In 2566, Siam Technology College plans to establish an external learning center at the Kronos Sathorn Tower on Sathorn Road to provide graduate study opportunities in modern information technology for those working in the city and not wanting to travel far. This is considered an expansion of educational opportunities to cover all groups of students who want to study.
Siam Technology College focuses on developing excellence in practical expertise, especially in technology and innovation, where the College is renowned and highly skilled. We have built on this expertise by opening up more educational opportunities. Currently, Siam Technology College has 7 faculties: Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Faculty of Public Administration, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Digital (established in the academic year 2567). We have researchers and tools ready to extend knowledge to create innovations and work networks using technology as a base.
The college also plans to open courses that meet the needs of the labor market, such as childcare and elderly care courses, etc. In the past, Siam Technology College accepted students who graduated from vocational education and wanted to continue their studies at the bachelor’s degree level, focusing on teaching technology as the main subject, different from Siam University, which has a wider range of courses and focuses mainly on theoretical studies, such as medicine and health sciences. Currently, Siam University has approximately 13,000-14,000 students. “Most recently, the college has joined with the German Bakery Association to sign an agreement to jointly develop the first bachelor’s degree bakery course in Thailand, which is expected to be opened for teaching next academic year. Currently, the college is in the process of ordering equipment and decorating the lab, which must all be imported from Germany. It is expected to cost 15-20 million baht to invest. Students will have the opportunity to intern and observe work with entrepreneurs who are members of the association in Germany. It is believed that in the future, bakers or bakers will be in high demand because the bakery or bakery business is continuously growing.”
